I got this on a whim, as I've always been fascinated with snakes and I find the Ouroboros (or Uroborus) design very interesting as well. I was pretty impressed by the quality. The piece appears to be cast from a mold split down the middle, and although the two halves don't line up exactly, it's hardly noticeable, especially from the front as it is when being worn.
The pewter may not be as stylish as gold or silver, but it's also not very heavy and very resistant to tarnish. I had bought this with the intention of removing the pendant and making my own band out of hemp, which is a hobby of mine -- but I found the band which it comes with to be perfect enough to let alone. It has two slip-knots which can be used to re-size the bad as needed, and although my tugging on it initially made the knots come loose, after retying them I have had no problem with it at all. It's very convenient to widen to fit over your head and then cinch to a comfortable length for wearing after, and I've never had the band slip or loosen on me throughout a day of wear.
