I don't use this as a key chain... I use it to keep my pocket watch off the bottom of my pocket... this protects it from scratches... works great! I had to replace the large key ring with a smaller 1/4 inch ring for my watch.

Pewter cracked and head came off! Save your money! I am still looking I loved the fact of hanging my keys in my pocket I am hooked on it.

It looks pretty good, though not nearly as shiny as the image; however, the curve of the keychain (the part meant to hook onto your pocket/belt/bag etc.) is very weak and bends easily. It hasn't broken yet, but I'm not expecting it to last that much longer.
