Nice pendant with lousy cord/chain (self tie).Feb 15, 2010

Would have given 5 stars if it had a better way to close the necklace. This was bought for my 16 year old Rush fan son.
Pros: Pewter, fairly large charm, nice weight of charm for a big guy, exactly what he wanted, hard to find something like this (Rush) elsewhere. Price must be based on the licensing of Rush and Pewter used to make charm.
Cons: The cord/chain is awful. It's a self tie each time, no clasp. Have seen necklaces in black cord that have a lobster claw closure, this is a cheap cord and difficult to put on / take off, price was $23 plus shipping, plus tax and was about $30 by the time you finish ordering. The shipping was supposed to be a couple of weeks, then they said 4 weeks, then it came fairly quickly, so the shipping is misleading and hard to judge if needing it for a gift on a certain date. The fact that it comes on an small cardstock display card (by Alchemy) cheapens the way it looks, but hides the lack of clasp as you cannot see from looking at it on there how it closes. (It is like kids junk jewelry cardboard/cardstock preprinted that they use to display in walmart or other store usually with a hole punch to hang on metal display rack.)
All in all, my son is happy with it.
